They are also really handy when the model has no flat areas to be placed on the bed and therefore no obvious print orientation.

Leave the "Pattern Angle" at 0, unless you want rotated supports. It’s certainly not an everyday choice, but in some circumstances, tree supports would be preferable. If, for example, you wanted to support the bottom point of a parabolic shape that’s above the surface of the print, and don’t want to print supports atop the object you’re printing. Angled tree supports would be a good choice.

I only support using these configurations with recent releases of PrusaSlicer because it is much more actively developed and contains extra features compared to the regular Slic3r.

MSLA & MULTI MATERIAL SUPPORT With the release of our Original Prusa SL1 resin 3D printer, we’ve added masked SLA (MSLA) mode into PrusaSlicer. As far as we know, PrusaSlicer is the first high-quality open-source MSLA slicer available. PrusaSlicer also supports multi material FFF printing with the Original Prusa MMU2S. If we’d just let PrusaSlicer generate supports automatically we’d get supports in the small holes as well: So instead, in the parts list on the right (or directly on the plater): right-click the appropriate part; select add support enforcer / box; Then drag the box to where you want supports to be generated. PrusaSlicer was updated earlier this year, to support SLA type pre processing and slicing, including support generation, after the release of the Prusa SL1. This got me wondering if using PrusaSlicer to generate the supports would be more robust than ChiTuBox and reduce the need for manual input on the support generation side.

If you try to leave it at the same tension you have use for PLA/PETG you will jam. Try to loosen the tension and then load the filament so you can make sure it loads okay with the little tension.
